Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee, it is for me a great pleasure and honor to invite you to the 5^thRespiratory Conference SEMERGEN which is going to be held in 8-9 May, 2015 in Caceres, Spain. The subject for the 5^thRespiratory Conference SEMERGEN 2015 is titled “New Challenges in the Management of Respiratory Diseases in Primary Healthcare”.

The 5^thRespiratory Conference SEMERGEN provides a unique opportunity to researchers from all over the world to meet and discuss the issues on Respiratory Diseases in Primary Healthcare at the time they provide and update information about the most recent diagnose and therapeutic measures related to respiratory diseases. The events will include lectures, oral and poster presentations.

The origins of Caceres can be traced back over 25,000 years to the times of the cavemen from the Paleolithic age. The rich, historical diversity of Caceres involves such cultures as Celts, Romans, Visigoths and Muslims. Caceres has a magnificent historic downtown, which takes visitors back to several centuries. Its Moorish walls are defended by towers which protected a series of Gothic and Renaissance stately homes, whose architectural harmony is unique in Spain. In 1986 Caceres was declared UNESCO World Heritage City because of its monuments interest and the richness of its architectural history.

The capital of the province of Caceres, a standard bearer of the gastronomical excellence of Extremadura, not to mention a model for finer palates thanks to its wonderful natural larder, has earned itself the title of Gastronomy Capital of Spain 2015 through its own merits.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Caceres, in May 2015. We are sure you will greatly enjoy this major scientific event as well as Spanish culture, tasty cuisine and known hospitality.
